Assignment Description
This assignment is for writing a rhetorical analysis essay. Analysis establishes a frame for analysis. For example, an editorial can be analyzed in terms of the three classical appeals (ethos, logos, pathos), the author's voice, larger cultural discourses, etc. To review some different types of rhetorical analysis, please review the rhetorical analysis guide. Also, apply what you have learned through the classroom group rhetorical analysis activity.

- Option 6: Huey P. Long's Every Man a King -- Radio Speech to the Nation
Instructions
- Length: 800 to 1000 words
- A cohesive title that ties into your essay
- Introductory paragraph: Be sure to provide the speaker name, occasion, purpose, and audience. Give the reader context for the speech.
- 3 Body paragraphs with cohesion and each one with an analysis
- A conclusion
- A Works Cited page in MLA format. Also, use MLA in-text citations.
- You will be graded on Genre, Focus, Organization, Development, Grammar/Mechanics, and Revision.
